I started a game of Harvest Moon DS.
My dog attacked the mayor (who totally deserved it. Dick.) And I got the choice to help him or not.
I did not.

The screen turned red with only his screams visible. Then game over.

My puppy killed the mayor.

WTF

Ahahaha oh god, I remember that.

By the way it's speculated that the mayor is actually Harvest King because of various text hints. Like if you throw your dog ball into the ocean (or any water source) he returns it the next day and says something bout how normal humans could not have retrieved it.

He also broke the 4th wall just prior to being mauled to death by adorableness.

I have few scars. Included in those scars is a Pomeranian bite. Never doubt the hidden viciousness in cute creatures.

I'm more or less immune to cuteness... last time a dog that size tried to attack me, it wound up being kicked across the yard.

I still feel nothing to this day from that event. Yes, I am a horrible monster.

Honestly, I'm more interested on how many other games he takes this view on, or how often. 'cause once you get caught up in a moment.. It can be pretty hard to keep the 'it's just a game' mentality..

I MEANT THAT GAMES do not often reflect reality, even though this is a game closely based on reality, so this is one of the worst parallels to reality in gaming. Geez.
To be honest I'd rather play Darksiders.

...and I happen to be a girl, Einstein.

I was more put off by the fact that you had to max out your affection for a girl to woo her. And it stayed maxed out, unless you were a dick frequently. So basically, after you married a girl, there was no logical reason to keep spending time and presents on her. And that's terrible. (I still did that though because come on.)
As far as I know, it's similar in most games with a dating sim element, like Persona 4. Maxed out social link? Cool, you'll never need to see that person again. It's nice to have that fuzzy feeling that you've completed something, but I wish there was some kind of expanded post-woo content.

Well, it does and it doesn't. When it comes down to being associated with a comment that, say, could be interpreted as something inappropriate that paints someone as something they're not?

People need to be more intelligent about what they post about other people.

The thing I hate are choices that seem fine when you look at them but turn out horrible.

Katawa Shoujo example:
First running practice:
- Push harder
- Call it a day

Hmmm... exercise is better for you if you push a bit...
NO! DON'T GO FULL TILT YOU STUPID IDIOT! YOU'RE GONNA DIIIIIIIIE!

I noticed Mass Effect and Fable are full of this.
