I wonder how long this moment of clarity will last.

Clarity?! I don't even know the word.

This thread is about nothing happening, so nothing is taking its place.

Nothing will come of nothing; speak again.

Depends on the vegetarian. Some do it for health reasons, some religious, some ethical. Those who choose ethical ussually don't eat fish.

If I'm a Muslim, am I a vegetarian then because I don't eat pig?

Yeah, but if vegetarians just seem to deselect some meat types, why cannot I do the same and then say I am a vegetarian?

Fish isn't considered a meat

Fish normally counts as meat, it depends on the context. In a religious context, it's normally considered not meat, but in terms of whether or not someone's a vegetarian, it most definitely does count as meat, no doubt about it!

I can understand for religeous purposes, but for those that do it by choice I say...

It just gets me mad, like how there are toads in New Super Mario Bros. Wii instead of Wario and Waluigi.

NINTENDOOOOOOOOOO!

I think the terms are laid out differently in religious texts. While we consider an animal anything which is capable of voluntary movement, is multicellular and ingests organic material for sustenance (fuck you sponges, you're plants. Deal with it), and the eating of such as eating meat, many eastern religions (Buddhism, Hinduism) view it as more the intent and feeling within the death of the creature itself - meaning fishing, by far a more passive and relaxed experience than hunting, is not seen as interfering with the vegetarian lifestyle.

Of course, I'm probably completely wrong here, and apologize to any Buddhists or Hindu's I may have inadvertently offended.
