So i read all of Dominic Deagon, to see what it's like.


The art is bleh, the writing is urgh.

it has it's moments, and the minor characters are a lot better than the main ones, i think.

my favorite is Bort the mongrelman who talks with signs. 8D
(obviously this was a guest comic. It's the best strip in the whole series)

Something you helped write? I'd say half of the comics on that list are the results of your masochistic heroism alone. I recently read through all 104 pages of that other Worst Webcomic thread and I figure I can momentarily stop lurking for a chance to speak to you.

Why weren't the very worst webcomics included in that article? Were they simply deemed too depraved and horrifying to be willingly shown to potentially innocent people? The Office Bitch probably shouldn't have even been on that list for just those reasons, but fortunately a lot of details were omitted.

Perhaps I'm asking the wrong person. I don't even know how much say you had in the article itself, but you definitely found and read through the entire archives of some of those abominations. Either way, you deserve more credit than merely having helped write the article.

For your sake, I hope not. I can offer no consolation to you other than the fact that there was a webcomic about cannibalism and rape that was not mentioned in the article. You were spared the worst.

The thread responsible for that article was far, far worse than the article itself. There were links to things that should never be seen, just so that you had the convenience of not having to bother with the bad drawing or worse writing in between. You could just skip straight to the horror and watch as it exceeded your worst expectations.

I've read quite a few of DD and got fairly interested myself. I agree, the jokes are dry and about 60% of the characters are a tad baised, but it's a fairly well put together epic-styled comic. Different tastes I guess.

I'll give you the whole backstory:

After essentially living in the Worst Webcomics threadon Cracked (starting from page 11and onward, where I first introduced lawforkids), I made a pitch for an article: "The X Worst Webcomics". David Wong (the site admin and one of the editors) said:



Heartbroken, I went back to the Webcomics thread and about a month later, Wong actually invited me to help him write an article on the most baffling webcomics.

I got paid $50 to research various comics, finding dozens of strips per comic, trying to find the most insane things. I went through every comic in that article, plus several others that didn't make the cut. One thing I MUST emphasize: the actual writing was done by Wong, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The man has a book coming out (he links it in the begining) and if you read his articles (click his name at the top), you'll see he has an amazing writing style. Also, the man is funny as hell. This article had me dying.


A few comics that were considered/researched but didn't make the cut:

-Sarah Zero
-Triquetra Cats
-Shredded Moose
-A comic that was basically cannibalism/torture porn

I'm not even going to name that last comic, because I don't want anyone else to read that or give the author any traffic. The comic (and if you know what I'm talking about, please don't refer to it by its actual name) is one of the most depressing things I've ever read.

Also, Lawforkids is the greatest thing ever. It's like an antidote for viewing awful webcomics. Just go to the page 11 link and the tone changes from "God, these are some horrible comics" to "Lawforkids is the best thing ever".

I'll try to answer any other questions you guys may have.

Don't worry, I also wouldn't dare mention that unspeakable comic. It was one of the links I was bodaciously afraid to click on. The reactions were a good enough indication that not only was it unsafe for work, but also unsafe for viewing in the presence of any human being, even if the human in question liked it.. especially if they liked it, actually.

I can see why a few of those didn't make the cut. Shredded Moose, and Jack aren't really baffling no matter how depraved they may be, but I think Sarah Zero would have been a great addition.. the whole thing looks and reads like an ad campaign. Triquetra Cats and its unintentionally hilarious artwork is worth mentioning too. In particular, I remember a certain comment about what appeared to be a baseball bat escaping the main character's mouth.
