Is this going to be like last time?
Can I go get the popcorn now, or do I need to later?

Last time? Does this happen often?

I signed up just to point this out.

Last time that Norrin accidentally had the same idea as someone else, a bunch of people from /co/ came over and started doing what 4Chan does.

Well if it's not the first time, it might not be coincidence. It would be incredibly easy to google a simple idea like this to see if it was done beforehand as well.

Pity. Good luck with the impending invasion I guess. And Norrin, start checking your ideas before you post the comic, otherwise you'll probably end up like that B^U guy.

Or you could just deal with the fact that more than one person can have the same idea and enjoy a funny comic if you see it.

If you think Norrin does this on purpose, think again. The guy was already all "oh whoops this was already done my bad" for the other comic it happened with. Doing it again on purpose would be really stupid. Take a chill pill, it happens and it doesn't matter at all. Especially when "the comic that already did it" comes from a random guy on /v/ that doesn't sign his stuff - if you had to check every joke ever made there by unknown people you wouldn't be making any comics ever.

Seriously, nobody cares. It's so unimportant.

Dammit I googled variants of "Jarate sandwich" instead and when I didn't find anything for several pages I assumed I was in the clear.

I google every comic idea before I draw it, but if I don't know what I'm looking for it's hard to know the exact keywords that are going to find something that may or may not already exist. (Spelling it wrong was my fault though.) Trust me when I say there is no advantage for me (or Norrin) to copy another comic on purpose; I get slammed whenever I do it by accident.

I think the two comics go about the humor a bit differently though. The /v/ one focuses on pointing out the connection and yours does more to poke fun at the idea of what if this really happened to someone.

Although the artist of the /v/ put it up on deviantART too, and he's somewhat well known.

Now try adding vinegar to any Subway sandwich from now on after reading this comic. It's a great way to lose weight.

It's a pretty obvious joke either way. A guy throws piss, there's a food item, OH MAN SHENANIGANS ENSURE WHEN THOSE TWO MIX.

That said the execution on the AZ version was really good so it was still kinda funny.

I wanna say I like Katie's comic better anyway. It might be because hers is done way better in both the artwork and delivery, and it might be that the comic edits always give the comic more character. Either way it's nothing to freak out about. Besides, it's rather scientific to take someone's previous idea and improve/capitalize on it. Only in the field of art have I seen people get up in arms over intentional accidental plagiarism. Just enjoy the freaken internet guys.
