In a game where we can jam gigantic creatures into small balls and trees grow on the backs of turtles, you have to allow the possibility of this penguin thing clawing the crap out of you with it's feet.
Don't forget we can shove intangable Ghost Pokemon in there too!

Also we still manage to struggle to get a riceball into them, when you can fit giant birds and other creates in.

Maybe the pokeball has a scanner system. What goes in that isn't a pokemon, must come out!

Think of how handy it would be if you could put food in them, instead of these MONSTERS. It would revolutionize the world!!

That is a great idea, putting food in pokeballs or pokeball like systems until...*some random kid takes the pokeball* Hey wow cool! Pokeball go! *throws it* ...A turkey sandwich!? What the heck?

There have been a couple episodes where Ash caught a jelly donut for example, in a Pokeball. >.>

Haha, it wasn't really a jelly donut. Only in the dub.

Apparently the translators don't think American kids can handle the concept of Japanese cuisine. They were rice balls.

I remember a later incident of sushi being turned into crackers in the dub...

If only I knew how to turn sushi into crackers...

That would be so awesome.
