I always have trouble playing games where you need to give orders to minions/troops. My first thought is always "Give me the godd*mn gun/sword/wand, I'll do it MYSELF!!"

Registered just for this, how are you guys still playing age of empires 2?

I've been dying to play it again for some time now but it really doesn't like 64 bit windows 7 for multiplayer, I vaguely remember it not letting me connect or start the game at all no matter what I tried via lan. I think I had trouble even getting the singleplayer campaigns to work either, I don't remember.

That pic had better be the official 'indifference' image from now on in these forums.

It is a little glitchy, I had problems too. It's old enough that making images of the CD on my computer don't really work, either. The colors are a little glitched up with the newer OS, but at least it's not as messed up as Starcraft is on 64bit W7.
Your computer should have an option to use it in 32-bit... That's how I ended up getting it to work.

How do these take skill? I'm not even using fancy things, I'm using Paint.

Well it's more of a "spend lots of time doing this and know a trick or two so it looks nice".
For example, we can see where you put a big tan rectangle behind the guy. ALso you can see bits of color from the original comic around his feet (stand out most by his left foot) you didn't get rid of an awful lot of blue around him. And you did a very... chunky job with cutting the word bubbles.

With regards to the weird colours in AoE2, you can simply kill the explorer.exe process to make the colours normal again. Just remember to start it back up using task manager once you're done.

I always had this happen with my villagers! :shakefist:

Always had to lock the gates due to villager stupidity.
