I kind of think you guys might have the wrong answer.

If it were some sort of passive aggressive thing to try and get the other guy to leave it would still be a form of courtesy, albeit used to be a dick. And she says its not courtesy, but for another reason, which is implied as more sinister.

IT IS THE RIDDLE OF THE LONG AWAITED COMIC! ARCHEOLOGISTS HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SOLVE IT FOR CENTURIES!

Also, am I the only one who thought the first panel looked like Katie was holding a cane?
