I do believe that the path of least resistance is
http://www.rsspect.com/. All that needs to be done after the initial sign-up is the addition of a few HTML tags to the posts on your home page.
How the code works:

A demo:

I'm fairly certain that the most recent addition, rendered in rsspect-compatible form, would look like the following:
Code:
<font color="#000000" face="verdana" size="2"><font size="2"><br><br>
</font></font><p><font color="#000000" face="verdana" size="2"><font size="2"><font size="1"><u><b>
<span class="rss-title">

</span>
</b></u>
<a href="http://www.awkwardzombie.com/comic1-042108.php">
<img src="http://www.awkwardzombie.com/newsnav1-1.gif" border="0"></a>
<!-- <span class="rss-link">http://www.awkwardzombie.com/comic1-042108.php</span> -->
<font size="2">
<span class="rss-content">
<br>Another WoW comic, against my better judgement. Nobody seems to like them except some
people who actually play WoW, and nobody cares about <i>their</i> opinions. Oh well!
<br>I just like the idea of handing a silk robe to a blacksmith and expecting something
useful to happen.
</span>
The addition of the <span> tags is what makes the magic happen. I haven't tested it (obviously), but an empty <span class="rss-content"></span> might be necessary before the post begins. It doesn't
seem so based on their directions, but it's possible.
Other things, like inserting images, are also possible. The
demo gives a fairly good idea of what can be done.
