I like how Samus is friends with the little Link. It makes me pop flyin' that the kids get more respect than Marth gets from her. The bug collection thing also is just beautiful.

I'm surprised Roy isn't in a separate lower tier on Marth's categorization but it just seems so perfect as it is.

So, given Shulk's position on the chart, I assume we've decided that the Shulk in Smash Bros. is meant to represent the period after he abandoned his job as a military engineer but before the big reveal about his true nature.

Edit: Just noticed that everyone in the peasantry category is a confirmed orphan. Probably part of the joke.

This gave me a good laugh! I also find it notably funny that Marth always seemed to tolerate Link more than Roy despite his social status. Granted, Link never seemed to intentionally bother Marth in the past, and Marth probably just respects that he "knows his place", so to speak, while Roy continuously attempts to rub elbows with him and always viewed himself as his equal. Still, it amuses me.

Why wasn't Joker on the socioeconomic tier list? I know exactly where he would be, its just weird that he was excluded but Pihrana Plant was on there.

For some reason seeing Shulk in the peasantry tier feels weird to me.

Hang on, since when did Snake ever do mercenary work? He was US special forces for the plot of Metal Gear 1, 2 and Solid, he worked for the UNSC in 4, and he was a terrorist operating his own NGO charity in 2. He's either a knight or a criminal.

Snake considers himself a "hired killer" and probably did not have much of an opportunity to tell his whole life story to Marth. 'sides, he was just a walking heart attack dispenser in 1 and basically a hitman in 4.

Also, I am pretty sure the Snake from Smash is the Snake from MGIS1,2 and 4, but is not the Snake from 3 nor 5.

Incidentally, Marth might not recognise countries that aren't kingdom, and the US and UNSC are democratic entities with no royalty system, so, for Marth, they are rogue nations and thus Snake, working for those is a Mercenary.

He's so sneaky Marth doesn't know he exists and Joker is making it a game to see how long until Marth notices stuff keeps going missing?
