How does that work, exactly? If you think that it's the best, then doesn't that make it your favorite?
You forgot to say that Zelda II is underrated, and a Link to the Past looked amazing.
Well, Majora's Mask is my favorite because of (among many other things) its world, dungeon design, items, story, and superb writing. But I honestly think that Ocarina is a better game overall for a ton of reasons I'd rather not list right at this moment. Majora's Mask is by no means a guilty pleasure for me, but I guess you could call it a guilty favorite. And if you want me to go over my experience with most of the 2d games,
LoZ was okay; I've sadly never beaten it.
Zelda II is indeed underrated. I actually think it's better than LoZ. Again, though, I've never beaten it, partly on account of rage. I got through the Valley of death on like my twentieth try, only to find that I'd accidentally forgotten one of the palaces and couldn't get into the Great Palace. I had to go all the way back to the second or third palace. To this day, I haven't been able to get through the Valley of Death a second time.
ALttP is a superb game. It added a ton to the mythos, had a pretty good story, and beautiful graphics.
LA is absolutely amazing. It had a unique world, lovable characters, and a strangely ominous and surreal atmosphere. I also think it may be the darkest game in the series(yes, even darker than Majora's Mask) just because of its ending.
The Oracle games were my first Zelda games. I love them to death, even if the writing was kinda...sub-par at times. I'm actually currently working on remaking Holodrum with Minish Cap's graphics.
Four Swords was a fun little side game. That's all.
I've sadly never gotten to play FSA.
I love Minish Cap to death and nothing will ever change that. But I gotta say, its overworld was kinda small.
