How does not liking a game any way detract from the quality of the comic? It's still a funny joke, even if you haven't played it (like me).

Don't get me wrong, it's pretty funny. but if you don't have the game, it's not as funny as you usually don't understand what everything is, like, what's a "Cursed Medal"? who's that girl in the last panel? Why can't she open the chest?

(Besides, I always think a game is overrated until I play it. yes, I hate a game just because I don't have it.)

(Also, TWO PAGE GET COMBO!)

'What is a cursed medal' is explained in the first panel of the comic, though. 'Why can't she open the chest' is explained in the second panel. It stops people from accessing their inventories.

How does that work, exactly? If you think that it's the best, then doesn't that make it your favorite?
You forgot to say that Zelda II is underrated, and a Link to the Past looked amazing.

Not necessarily. Favoritism isn't really about quality as much as just how much you identify with a thing.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape is my favorite game of all time, more because it's from my childhood than because it's actually the best game I've played.

Plus there's always 'i know this is good and i understand why it's good but I do not personally enjoy it to the same degree'

I couldn't help but laugh.

HERE'S A LIST OF THINGS
Best Zelda: Wind Waker
Worst Zelda: Zelda II (the CD-i games are non-canon)
Most overrated Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Most underrated Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
Favourite Zelda: Tie between Wind Waker and Skyward Sword
Least favourite Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Zelda I, Zelda II, Phantom Hourglass
Zelda more people should play: Majora's Mask
Zelda people need to shut up about: Ocarina of Time
Best direct sequel: Majora's Mask (or Four Swords Adventures, if you coukd count that as a sequel to Four Swords)
Worst direct sequel: Phantom Hourglass (it was all right, but barely holds a candle up to Wind Waker)
Zelda I really need to play more: Twilight Princess

Why is no one talking about Link's Awaking? Or the Oracle Games? Or even Minish Cap? Those seem to be underrated too.

Oracle of Seasons was my favorite game for my Game Boy Color. I played it so many times that to this day I have every dungeon memorized.

You forgot to say that Zelda II is underrated, and a Link to the Past looked amazing.

Well, Majora's Mask is my favorite because of (among many other things) its world, dungeon design, items, story, and superb writing. But I honestly think that Ocarina is a better game overall for a ton of reasons I'd rather not list right at this moment. Majora's Mask is by no means a guilty pleasure for me, but I guess you could call it a guilty favorite. And if you want me to go over my experience with most of the 2d games,
LoZ was okay; I've sadly never beaten it.

Zelda II is indeed underrated. I actually think it's better than LoZ. Again, though, I've never beaten it, partly on account of rage. I got through the Valley of death on like my twentieth try, only to find that I'd accidentally forgotten one of the palaces and couldn't get into the Great Palace. I had to go all the way back to the second or third palace. To this day, I haven't been able to get through the Valley of Death a second time.

ALttP is a superb game. It added a ton to the mythos, had a pretty good story, and beautiful graphics.

LA is absolutely amazing. It had a unique world, lovable characters, and a strangely ominous and surreal atmosphere. I also think it may be the darkest game in the series(yes, even darker than Majora's Mask) just because of its ending.

The Oracle games were my first Zelda games. I love them to death, even if the writing was kinda...sub-par at times. I'm actually currently working on remaking Holodrum with Minish Cap's graphics.

Four Swords was a fun little side game. That's all.

I've sadly never gotten to play FSA.

I love Minish Cap to death and nothing will ever change that. But I gotta say, its overworld was kinda small.

Plus, I prefer the games with a connected overworld, aka every other zelda game. (The sky doesn't count cause first, it isn't 'connected' so much as it's a hub point to access the regions from, with no way to travel between the three...).

So, Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and, arguably, Four Swords, and Four Swords Adventures?

If you mean those games are awesome and have connected overworlds, then yes.

Or do you mean they are awesome but don't have connected overworlds?

They all don't have connected overworlds. Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures have selectable levels (which is why I was iffy on including them), and WW, PH, and ST all have mechanics that require you to use some kind of feature to travel between locations. Wind Waker is the most ignorable in this sense as it's seamless, but you're still having to get in a boat (akin to getting into the sky) to travel to the next island. At least in Skyward Sword, there were only 3 places to travel between rather than a shitload of islands.

Spirit Tracks even technically doesn't have an overworld outside of the train mechanic, so it seems strange that it gets ignored.

I personally don't mind the hub world thing. Skyward Sword was a good game regardless of the sky, just as Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks are good Zelda games with disconnected overworlds that need to be traversed.

Oh, boy. People have started talking about what Zelda games are overrated. Goddesses help us.

This was the true reason the Goddesses sank Hyrule. They were tired of Historians bitching about which era/hero was the best, including complaints about how the birds didn't fly intuitively enough for the riders.

That doesn't count, as you can only get it by Pre-Ordering Wind Waker.

And besides, it's basically a second quest for Ocarina of Time.

And on the 3DS along with the normal Ocarina of Time remake.

I prefer Twilight Princess really. It really helped influence my dark sense of humor. And yes, Zant. Before he was a zero, he was my hero XD Minus Vaati. Because Vaati is even more my hero. 8===D

It is indeed awesome.

The most awesome part? The water temple becomes bearable.

The only Zeldas I have yet to play are the Oracle Series and Four Swords Adventure. Luckily, the Oracle Series seem ripe to hit the eShop very soon, so I'll most likely get them both once they're there.
