I don't quite understand your point.

Seems to work for me.

The brown segment is way too long. It should not be it's own segment like that because they're part of his toes.
From your picture, the blue bone is his thigh and the PANK bone is his shin. The purple bone should be his foot, followed by his toes for the grey/green segment. So, then what exactly is that brown thing? It looks like a foot, except that's what the purple bone is supposed to be! Either his leg has three major bones, his foot has two major segments, or his toes are ridiculously long and have an odd bend towards the end. Simply put, the "brown" segment should not be nearly that long.

Here's a picture of a fox
Image

Look at his legs; There is the thigh, shin, foot, then toes. The segment of his body which corresponds to the "brown bones" is not that long and is indistinguishable from the rest of the toes. Why? Check the reference picture I first gave again; those bones are part of his toes.

For the comic to be accurate, the "brown section" would need to be removed and some slightly altered toes would need to be added on.

Hey it's okay I took biology classes back in uni and we pulled living fly larvae apart to get their brains - that's completely unrelated to the topic at hand but gosh, biology, right? :D

Back on the topic of super long toes, though, I still don't see it as a problem. Fox clearly isn't your run-of-the-mill foxie. He's an antropomorphic foxie walking upright, which clearly had some altered demands on his leg anatomy. In order to support the upright posture, those toe bones grew longer during the evolution from fox to Star Fox.

I would have linked to a picture of human toes which are twice as long as normal. However, I feel like many people find foot pics kind of disgusting in many cases, so I decided not to. That must really suck when buying shoes as you essentially have to get custom-made boots.

I sure hope this makes you feel better, though:

We have had a larger debate about fox's legs then we did in the gnostic comic.

For a second, I thought that right front leg had a wing on it. Foxbat.

I would, but in that case wouldn't the evolutionary logical thing to do be to give him human legs? Or, do you mean in terms of drawing a comic? In terms of drawing a comic, I guess so; it makes sense.

I approve of this edit. I am now imagining star fox facing down wolf with super legs. Poor thing got into Andross's medicine cabinet.

As far as I understand evolution, that's not how it works ;-)

Take a sparrow and a bat. Both have wings, which are quite similar but still nothing alike.

In nature, a solution which works is a solution which works. It does not have to be an optimal solution, but only needs to be just good enough. Like in professional computer programming.

When there are multiple ways to tackle a problem, there's not automatically one more valid than the other.

That aside, hairy foxie legs with overly long toes still look less weird than hairy human legs. Trust me, I'd know.

Posting pictures of things that many people find digusting but some people have weird fetishes for?

That's basically my superpower! Finally I can use it for good instead of evil.

...Doesn't mean I have to though.

This is all so confusing. We have to message Katie and ask her about it.
