Cordeval's disappearance. I really liked it, good humour, good art, some yaoitasticness (which got to be very jarring), but it hasn't updated in like, a year now. Amile has moved on, it looks like, because she still does stuff on DA, but none of it is in comic format.

Maybe the comic was just a stepping stone on to what she really wanted to do.

I got into comic art by accident, and I learned a lot from it, but I'm not getting much out of it anymore (in terms of both enjoyment and learning).

People evolve, and their artwork evolves with them.

Yup, and that's why I'm not going to bother asking her about the comic (since it'd be so easy because she's on DA and all that)

I hate it when there are things that can only be expressed in comics that can't be expressed in movies and vice versa.

Example: Puns that involve two words that sound the same, but the spelling is completely different.

I could piss people off again by bringing up how much I hate xkcd's jokes for educated people.

you hate a comic because it's jokes are geared at a certain group of people?

okay.

No, I don't hate it, it just one element of a comic I like that I get annoyed by. The thing is I'd say half of the time it isn't geared toward any specific group, just when it is it seems pretensions to me.

I can understand programmer and astrophysicists might want there own web-comic but I kind of wish they'd go get somebody else to do it.

I honestly know it's a bad argument. Just something that personally bothers me.

That is pretentious. The content in the comics themselves is not.

Something that grinds me gears about comics I like...can't think of anything. I guess when AZ writes a comic about a game reference I don't get, but that's not really anyone's fault, if not my own. That's all I can think of w/o using the "U" word, which I don't actually have a problem with.

(The "U" word is update).

At least he's on-topic. Le Comic moves at a crawl anyways. Just be a bit more mindful of the dates of threads from now on, especially in the other sub-forums.

I'd venture a guess to say that he'll probably never see that.
