Now.. I'm no expert with guns, or even shooting games, but I always figured a sniper's gun would have a bayonette attached just in case an enemy snuck up behind them, I mean, it's a BIG awkwad gun made for sitting back and carefully aquiring your target, if someone pops up all of a sudden and you hear them at the absolutely last second, both hands on your sniper gun you're not gonna have time to grab for a pistol, you just spin around and either slash with that knife or smack em with the butt ^^
By the way, just stumbled across your comics two days ago and I have already read them all, especially love the pokemon and wow comics! You rock!

Snipers are supposed to be able to use anything around them as a weapon in cases like that.

For instance, a jar of urine.

You know that a trained sniper can pull their pistol and fire accurately in under three seconds right?

Though hilariously enough, the U.S. millitary still has socket point bayonets for the m16 and m4 as standard issue and each soldier is expected to know how to use them.

The wonders that the millitary channel teaches me.

I still wish they didn't declare the bayonet obsolete. Knife < Knife attached to end of gun, even empty.

Bayonets were invented because people ran out of ammo so fast and reloading was so slow that battles turned to Melee combat.

Now that we have automatic rifles with giant clips and missiles that can track the reflection off your corneas, we don't need bayonets.

Just sayin, that is if it comes to CQC, whether surprised or just having no time for a reload, I'd rather be the guy with a knife on a stick, rather than just a knife. Especially if indoors.

Hearing Katie mention borderlands and "Good writing" I guess she hasn't gotten anywhere close to the giant space flea from nowhere yet.

The game started out good but kept going downhill as it dragged on.

I dunno, I think this is working on "video game physics."

I have a shotgun, you can hit AND kill things at about the same effective range as an assault rifle. It depends on the slug/or shot used a lot though.

This is late but for disscussions involving the range and scopes, a scope is logical on a shotgun, suprisingly to some of you, buckshot has motherfucking range. Some shotguns are designed for spread, some are designed for tight spreads so the pellets shred a specific area. Hunting shotguns usually can have scopes, an example would be the SPAS-12 combat but everyone knows that.

However, they do give you holy fuck 0 accuracy shotguns in this game with scopes so I dunno.

So I was thinking... What is y'alls favorite FPS weapons?

Personally, I prefer the rocket launcher... up close. Yes, I do enjoy shooting off a rocket in the range that most people would just use a knife.

It's more enjoyable to use a shotgun at long range and kill them with attrition.

I had a Star Wars Sagas character like that once. Would use grenade launchers with low accuracy and Evasion. Id just run up to a group of people and pop one out, they take half damage off the miss and Id skate out without a scratch.

Heavies are so beast, I honestly would run the fuck away from heavy running at me wanting to punch me.
