Strictly speaking Entei is a copyrighted character whom/which is a trademark and intellectual property of Nintendo. However, I see people selliing shirts with Luigi on and yeah, VG Cats T-shirts and stuff so I'm kinda at a loss with just where this sits legally.

Yeah, the artwork belongs to Katie, but still... If Nintendo got on your case about this I really wouldn't argue with them.

It is a parody. She can make as many parodies as she wants of it and sell it. That is why all the Star Trek stuff on TV is still airing. Same with Simpsons and The Family Guy. Katie isn't portraying the characters as they are acting in the games. She is portraying them by their most distinctive features in a humorous situation related to the game. As such, not a rip off or copyright infringement.

Then again, I am no lawyer, but I have seen this argument pop up on numerous forums and this is the answer that has been given to those questions.
