I remember I only got through that dungeon by using up all of my magic with Din's fire, then just hacking at him until he was done. Sure, it took half of my hearts as well, but it fucking worked.

I brought a Green Potion.

It's useful.

I never got that far in the zelda game, my friend helped me with the forest temple, I beat the fire temple, but I'm stuck on the water temple, and that was before my N64 died. I never got master quest.

Yeah, I was in the middle of the water temple, when the system turned off by itself. I realized that I hadn't saved since I entered the temple, and not wanting to deal with the first half again, I just went back outside.

I did a little fishing, then played around in the Zora's domain. Then my friend told me that you can get magic armor by dumping all of my cheddar into the Malo Mart. What an ordeal that was.

I must have traveled across the great sea, like, seven times. You have to remember, this was all before I got the song of soaring, so it was nothing but fucking SAILING. And those goddamn gyorgs and peahats and Odwallas and Twinmolds. Seriously. Twinmolds are worse than Morpha, just because they're such a pain in the booty.

But I finally decided to get cheddar by fighting Chuchus. You know, those little clear green ones that give you rupees? Or do they give you magic potions. All I remember is that the red ones give you hearts and the yellow ones give you arrows.

But then I realized, "HEY! I've got a world to save!" But I found myself on the other side of Terminia from where the dungeon was. So decided to call Ricky, because Ricky is made of badass. We punched and jumped our way across Labryanna, but whe--

Wait.

Which game was I talking about again?

I remember I caught the Hylian Loach for my brother by accident when I was just a wee little girl. :awesome: I got bored in the fishing hole and thought I'd try to catch the little tiny fish that swim around the edge. But instead I caught the Hylian Loach! :eng101: Really, it was just a matter of luck for me. I didn't even have the sinking lure. Perhaps the trick is getting a little idiot-- I mean, child to do it.

Yes yes yes I want a discussion about how you beat Shadow Link.
I started off (this was when I was 7) by using Din's fire, then kept whacking him with the megaton hammer when he kept popping up until I beat him.
I then, after beating him like this multiple times, just used the megaton hammer, and then I got sick of it all and to this day I just use my sword and some hardcore swordsmanship skills.
...Ha.
How do you beat him?

Force your way in with vertical slashes, no z-targeting. The result is random, both of you taking damage, tends to cause one of you to miss. Also, forcing him into a corner and crouch stabbing.

I copied a save that had a Faeroe's Wind straight to his room. Did the same thing with KH's Sephiroth, the big fights draw me.

How come nobody portrays Dark Link as solid black with round red eyes?

Was there official art of him as a normal person with black hair and black clothes or something?

BECAUSE THAT'S BORING.

Honestly I've never seen anyone draw him as he actually appeared.
Link's black costume in Melee was just a black tunic and slightly darker tights (even though the "real" Shadow Link shows up in an Event Match as a silhouette), which might be where some people got the idea, I don't know.

She speaks the truth. :colbert:

But also, thinking of it this way; Shadow Link bodaciously refers to Link's Shadow getting up and becoming an enemy. Since you can't attack a shadow, somebody probably came up with the solid, living(?) Shadow Link. And I've seen so many portrails of him it'd drive you insane. Katie's seems to be the most popular though, although a dark-skinned version of the exact same thing is a close second.

Hmm. I liked Shadow Link. I just ran around for a while watching him following me, then did some flips. It was like playing chicken, but virtual and therefore better.

Getting to him was a pain in the booty, though. God I hate the Water Temple. D:

When I was like seven playing the game with my mom and I taking turns, she called Ruto a little hussy and then endured three days of me asking her tirelessly what a hussy was. [/boring childhood story]

That's adorable. Katie should do a comic where Link calls Ruto a hussy or something when the abomination ('Fishykins' is what Katie dubbed him, I believe) is right behind him, then Fishykins asks it to Ruto and she beats the crap out of Link. Awww, true love? Ew.
