Edit: Whoops. Also too lazy to remove the color, er, palette (does it really count as a palette if there are only two colors?). So, yeah. Those are Entei's browns by the second panel.

Now that I'm seeing more closely to the comic, in the seventh panel we can see the hen (or rooster, don't care) doesn't have feathers, and yet in the last panel, we see a trail of feathers indicating what it could be Link's fall... where did those feathers appeared? (maybe I'm thinking too much about this)

Why don't you erase those feathers (after all, the background is just a plain single color, most of the time), make one brown feather and copy/paste it in different size and directions?

At least that's what I could do instead of coloring every single feather in there.

Although it still takes some time...
