I think it's funny that people think a machine being Apple or M$ makes that big of a difference in this day and age.
All I care about is if it can run Adobe CS3/4.

Actually, it still does. A lot of difference. A lot.

I'm not getting into this argument.

It matters to people like you.

I don't give a flying fuck if it's a Mac, PC, OS or Windows.

I'm sick to freaking death of all the Mac/PC what-the-fucking-ever fanboys fighting over what platform/system/whatever is better.

All I care about is if it can run Adobe CS3/4 or not - the Adobe software is all I have respect for, and that software just happens to be multi-platform.

So frankly my dear, I don't give a daisies.

They don't even do THAT the same way! There's no 64-bit version of CS4 for Mac, meaning powerful Windows machines run it much better than the equivilent Mac machines. But there are also Mac-exclusive features too (most prominetly, mult-touch on those that're capable), which is why people always say Macs are better for artists.

So yeah, difference, even if you don't want to admit it.

Incidentally, I do wonder why you're here if you aren't interested in videogames though.

I never said I'm not interested in videogames.

I said I wasn't interested in arguing about computer specifications and related brand identities.

I find this kind of thing is more easily definable for videogame consoles. Nintendo has a definite identity and unique control system, just as the PS and Xbox consoles have different connotations attached to them.

I don't play videogames on my computer, I use it just for artwork and internetz - it makes it easier to maintain a work discipline/ethic if I use my computer for work and my console for play.

So I'll not be playing WoW anytime soon.

Also horribly wrong! PC game developers don't port to Mac because, in nearly all cases, there's rarely enough Mac-only users that'd be interested enough in the game to make the port profitable.
As a general rule, businesses are never lazy, just under-staffed or under-budgeted.

Wow, that's the third thing that's got me riled up in quick succession!

Actually, Wikipedia has a complete list of all Mac games, not including freeware:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Macintosh_games

It's not impressive. But it does show quite well how only well-known (aka: those that can profit) games tend to get ported.

Edit: what was this thread about again?

Taking it then that I'm the only one that cares that he's seemingly decided Katie's related to a character from V for Vendetta?

I use Internet Explorer.

Doesn't that just make your blood boil?

I do also.

So, no.

Firefox seemed to crash/jam up just as frequently so I'll use what my machine came with (Internet Explorer).

I'm just not a techno nerd. The battles fanboys wage over Apple Macs and M$ Windows - trying to claim one is superior over the other - just seems pointless. Both systems function perfectly adequately.

It pisses me off when people who have been clearly brainwashed by all the corporate advertising bullshit go off on one and say:

NO U!

U DEW NYET UNDARSTAND!

[PLATFORM X] IS CLARLY BETTAR!

HEAR AR A LYST OF RAESONS!

Truth is, I'm really not interested.

People like you are the reason I can't enjoy that movie. I'll bet you loved The Dark Knight, too.
