I got over my discomfort with shooting the cute animals pretty early, although I still feel bad about the foxes. I don't feel bad about the wolves, though. First it was because they drop such excellent meat, but now it is because they drop excellent meat AND the stupid suckers DESERVE IT for ALWAYS ATTACKING ME WHAT DID I EVEN DO TO YOU I WAS JUST WALKING PAST YA JERKS

I too tried to befriend the foxes and relegated myself to getting simply as close as possible and watching

wolves on the other hand I showed no mercy as soon as they howled

I shot a fox once in BotW. The way it backflipped and vanished into a puff of smoke while dropping a raw steak was silly, but just the same I decided that I wasn't going to do that again.

Now I run them over with a horse instead. No wasted arrows that way.
