In Pearl I encountered a shiny Roselia and didn't catch it due to a lack of pokeballs. I learned a terrible lesson on that day.

In sapphire, I never bothered transferring my shiny lileep because I thought green was it's normal color. "Oh, I'll just get another one later" "OH MY GOD THIS ONE IS PANK! IT'S A SHINY!" "Wait, why did it evolve into a normal cradily? Unless... *GASP*"

I'm guessing it's a comment on her being almost out of Pokeballs, so she needs to bring him down just a little bit more so the normal ones will work.

I've only encountered one shiny pokemon the entire time I've had any of the games. (Not counting the Red Gayrados, Shiny Haxorous in BW2 and promotional pokemon)

And My game froze during that battle. It was just a shiny Flotzel back in Pearl but still.

I've caught a few shinies here and there. I caught a shiny Graveler in Diamond, a shiny Shuckle in SoulSilver, and a shiny female Combee in X.

Well, that's what you get for not using the clearly superior Chespin, who trumps all in cuteness and adorability.

Also, I've seen/captured quite a few shinies in my time. First a shiny pidgey in firered, but I didn't know what shinies were back then and I had a higher level pidgey so I released it (dumb dumb dumb). Then a shiny Venonat in the same game's Safari Zone... lucky catch was lucky, and it's now a Venomoth on my friend's game. Then something else in the Emerald safari zone, but I forget what it was. Either a Rhyhorn or a Miltank... found a shiny Mareep in soulsilver and it's currently on my team in that game as an Ampharos. Found a shiny Audino AND Emolga in white within a week of each other, and last but not least, a shiny Mr. Mime in X... but not enough poke balls to catch it. I don't like Mr. Mime anyway :/

Nobody likes Mr. Mime. Stupid name, hideous design, moronic concept. Gen 1 had quite a few lame Pokemon and Mr. Mime is the worst by far.
