But Marcato, besides Subrosia, seasons was boring. The rod wasn't used too much, the game was hack and slash with barely any good puzzles, Onox was a dumb villain, and the bosses were recycled even when the games were no longer remakes.

Plus, ages got cane of Somaria.

Not gonna lie, I expected punchline to be moosh skeleton.

First off, the Cane of Somaria was much cooler in a Link to the Past, second, the Switch Hook was neat, and third, the Magnetic Gloves were such a cool idea. I agree that Ages is somewhat superior, but I had fun times with Seasons, too.

Oh, I had fun with seasons too, but after buying it and playing it after playing through Ages like 3 times, it felt underwhelming in comparison.

Onox was dumb.

Not gonna lie, I thought Moosh was a sack of bananas with wings on it the first time I read the comic.
It didn't make any less sense.

God I love Ages.

No. You do not remember the Tokay fondly. Nobody remembers the Tokay fondly. Nobody likes the Tokay. The Tokay should all burn in hell. Fuck those gecko bastards.

Also, Symmetry City was a stupid idea.

One thing I always wondered about sym city, why is it that because one guy broke his leg the other can't walk and not the other way around, where because the other guy is okay he can drag the injured man along because symmetry? And how would they get to the forge guy anyway, one path leads aaaaall the way around the mountain and the other crosses a river back to a different area. How would they carry the thing anyway? Why send Link in the end and not the body builder in the basement who has been there much longer?

The Tokay were great. It was fun to try to get around with limited items.

The Tokay were dicks. They steal your items(I HATE it when games take away your items and abilities) and they force you to go on a long, boring fetch quest to get all your stuff back; plus, you have to deal with that asshole at the trading post who forces you to pay for the very stuff he stole from you! The only good things about the Tokay are that you can get the Tasty Meat from their chef and you get to feed them ember seeds and watch them burn.

I still love Ages, as there are a lot of things it did right. I'll admit that Ages' story was much better than Seasons' story(or lack thereof), and it did have some really fun gameplay mechanics and sidequests. However, at least Seasons didn't have Crescent Island, the Goron Dance, or Jabu-Jabu's Belly. And whose brilliant idea was it to have two water levels in a row?!

...did you even play Seasons?

See what I mean? Symmetry City = stupid.

Ive played both on my SP lately, and I have to say:

Fuck you Jabu Jabu. You want to complain about the Water Temple in ooT? At least I tried to kill myself in there, and that was entertaining. Running around for 4 hours trying to find a stupid lever in one button mermaid mode is not my idea of fun. It is my idea of having sushi after the dungeon. But I wouldnt go as far to hate both of them. Although Id play Seasons first because it seems more based on fighting and Ages because its based more on puzles. To me it makes sense; Onox is a dumb idiot (with a flail that makes me wince even THINKING about when it hit me repeatedly) and veran is a succubbus that learned from his mistakes and is ready for the hero. So itd make sense that shed use more wile to try and defeat you in dungeons.

I always played Ages first; the addition of the whole Linked Game plot actually added some story elements I could care about to Seasons.

And yes, Jabu-Jabu's Belly is the worst dungeon in the entire series; it's easily worse than the Water Temple and the Temple of the Ocean King. It had pretty cool music, though.

Actualyl as a child Oracle of Ages taught me alot about Time Travel: I loved seeing what places looked like 700 years int he past, and when I was a child the idea thrilled me. Life changing game that was, I started thinking about cause and effect that day XD

The greatest part of an ages-first link game was seeing Queen Ambi reunited with the pirate captain

Same here. Ages was actually my first Zelda game(though I'd seen Ocarina of Time at a friend's house before that), and though I clearly have a lot of issues with it, I absolutely love it. Mind you, that's partly due to nostalgia, but it's still an amazing game.

That's exactly what I meant by story elements I could actually care about being added to Seasons. That, and the fact that you could get the Noble Sword as soon as you got the Roc's Feather in Seasons was another great thing about an Ages-first link.

By the way, that captain's official name is Cap'n.

So, can we get some edits here?

Seems like the Rod of Seasons has even more potential for havoc than the Dominion Rod.

I mean we're talking global scale here, right?

No. Usually just the tile you're on.

And idk. I've beaten Seasons like 3 times and I feel like I used the harp more than the rod.
