It's unanimous, Katie, don't play this game anymore. My brother plays the series, but it always seems to have him run into game breaking glitches.

On an unrelated note, did you ever play the fishing/RPG hybrid spin off for the original Gameboy?

I grew up with the N64 one and Friends of mineral town, comics like this make for good nostalgia trips

In AWL you don't actually get a Stamina meter, you just get vague hints as to when he's tired, and you don't notice them until he slows the fuck down for no reason.
He eventually faints and you skip to the next day at 6AM

It's pretty much the worst Harvest Moon.

Didn't the old games do that too?

I was just reminded of this game's existence. THANKS KATIE. |:[

And now I'm terribly conflicted over whether this or Save the Homeland is a worse game.

I've tried to play Island of Happiness, but I've had the exact same experience. The farmer was tired after watering something like three or four squares of vegetables, it was ridiculous. Are all protagonists in DS Harvest Moons pansies?
Except for the first HMDS, of course, because it was made with the Friends of Mineral Town's engine and therefore is awesome.

I've only ever played the SNES Harvest Moon. I don't like the Harvest Moon series but, this one game I enjoy.

Geez, Legend of the River King.

Level 1: You are a 10 year old child, go buy a raft to go downstream.
Level 2: Beat to death a bear that has been terrorizing a village with nothing but your fists.

Hey, new comic idea!

Yeah, A Wonderful Life is pretty... not good, though it's been too long since I've played it to remember why. I always loved the N64 game though. However, I never finished it. I'd get to the point where I'd buy the green house, then, for a few days, love how much time it "saved", since time doesn't progress while you're indoors, and it becomes easy to do everything you want to do before dusk. However, it turns out it saves TOO MUCH time, with each day now taking nearly twice as long. You spend too much time just waiting around each day, and the rate at which you progress through the calendar slows to a crawl. Additionally, it means you'll be farming through the winter too, since while plants cannot grow outside during the winter, they can in the greenhouse. A month or two with the greenhouse and I just stop playing.

This brings back memories. I remember that the SNES one was more forgiving, making it so hitting the "use equipped item" caused you to fall down and get back up instead. Now, it seems that the new games make you faint into the next day. The only ones I played seriously was the SNES one and the N64 one, but I keep wanting to try playing again. Are any of the new ones good? I hated Rune Factory, as it made farming and combat both awkward instead of fun.
