He has a point.

There is a thread for pokemon discussion; take it there.

Okay okay sorry. Looking back I see how stupid that sounded.

I joined in with the pokemon discussion here because if I have to engage the one already up in there. I don't know what they're talking about in the other thread, but this one was pretty basic.

I don't remember where, but there's a Move Deleter in one of the cities. If it weren't for that, your encounter would've sucked.

Well, it still sucks because now you have to waste time looking for the Move Deleter.

In other news, I have no idea how we managed to derail this topic this badly. Unfortunately, I already said what I have to say about the comic and I currently don't have any edits to dish out.

Seriously.

I think if you'd look at the threads relating to comics based on other games, you'd find the discussion invariably branches off into conversations more to do with the game itself, rather than the comic.

I suppose you're right.

In other news, I don't know why some people consider Garchomp an Uber. It's quad-weak to ice, so it could easily be subdued by, say, Weavile.

(I'm guessing this post really should've been in the main Pokemon topic. It's really a response to that Garchomp quote in the latest comic edit, but whatever. >_<)

Isn't that the case for all the Dragons save, like, 2? Doesn't stop broken base stats and move pool.

You're thinking of Dialga and Failkia.

Also, Reshiram, once the US gets its hands on Black.

Also, I didn't think about the stats or movepool when doing that mini-comic. All I thought about was the ice quad-weakness that most dragons have in an attempt to generally try to balance them out in the case you don't have a dragon.

A Garchomp trying to outrun Ice-types can still be subjected to Froslass, Sneasel, and Weavile. Hell, AFAIK every Pokemon has its counter. For Sableye and Spiritomb, it's Foresight, Odor Sleuth, or Scrappy followed by a good Fighting attack.

Well, those are the ones that have no Ice weakness. Also, Kyuremu, so...

Regularly Effective
Kingdra
Dialga
Palkia
Reshiram
Kyuremu

2x damage
Dratini
Dragonair
Bagon
Shelgon
Latias
Latios
Giratina (either form)
Arceus (/w Draco Plate)
Any of the 5th-gen dragons other than Reshiram and Kyuremu

Quad-weak to Ice
Dragonite
Vibrava
Flygon
Altaria
Salamence
Rayquaza
Gible
Gabite
Garchomp
