I have very thick bones, so I usually have to get my clothes from the Petit Woman's section. Clothes in the teen section are way too thin most of the time...it's like they're made for stick figures.

Something I noticed:
Most teenage girls want to be as thin and frail as possible, while most teenage guys want to be large and strong.

Not everyone is built for such extremes, though.

I am not built like an athlete. Which is good for me, because I like sitting around and figuring stuff out. I like science (and cake).

I need long and thin pants.

And it seems that only specific clothing stores are guaranteed carry them.

Uh-huh. I don't see why other girls like being so small and thin. I'm at a healthy weight and I'm perfectly fine with myself.
But it's a bit aggravating when you see a cool shirt you want in the teen section, you pick out your normal size, and when you go to try it on you almost bust the seams. (I'm a medium, but only in the woman's section. I'm like a large in the teens).

I consider myself at a perfectly healthy weight but I can't fit into a medium. (It's because my tiddies are too big, usually. Like, otherwise it fits fine but is too snug around the bust. They may look nice, but they get you no cool clothes. They also give you back problems.) Apparently, despite the obesity crisis, clothing makers want people to be skinnier and skinnier just to wear 'medium' sized clothes.

DERP HOW DO I CLOTHES SIZING?

Yeah, the main problem area is always my bust. We went shopping for a dress the other day for my senior portraits, and there was this really pretty gray dress that I saw and loved. So I go to try it on and herp derp can't squish myself into it.

Rip the shirt in to. Place leather in it. That's all I got.
Anyways, it is stupid how they make clothing. My t-shirts have to be below my waist nowadays because if they aren't I got a very tight shirt around my belly and it annoys me. It's like they don't know there's short chubby people. D:

That must be pretty hard. I mean, my clothes aren't that nice but not being able to wear your favorites is just awful. Of course I guess me not wanting to wear a shirt when I'm at home doesn't count...

Oh man, Cori, I know what you're talking about so much.
I was shopping in the petite section when I was 12, because I already wore a C cup. I can't buy hardly anything in the junior section, Because my bust and butt are both at least two to three shirt/pant sizes larger than my waist. I have to tailor some of my own clothes, because I don't want to look like I"m wearing giant pillowcases.

-Buy T-shirts that are two sizes too large.
-Never worry about how they fit.

Seriously, It's a good thing I like baggy clothes because all my XL shirts are huge on me now.

I've been buying large T-shirts since I barely wore a medium.

OH LOOK THEY ALMOST ALL FIT NOW HURR HURR

'Almost'.

They're all supposedly the same size, but they're all varying degrees of looseness.

I have some T-shirts that actually are my size.

I am short as well. 5'3'' at 15, and I've grown half an inch since '08 >_> Almost all my friends are tall, and they like to pat me on the head to remind me that I'm short ;_; ...Still, I get to pull out Edward Elric lines every once in a while for a couple of laughs. I think that makes being short worth it XD

But dear goooood, I hate clothes shopping. I'm so hard to fit that it's ridiculous. It's a good thing I like baggy clothing, 'cause I'd be screwed if I didn't.

I have really long legs and my waist is thin compared to them, so it's very difficult to find pants because I'm out of preportion.

Seems like everyone here can't easily find normal, good fitting clothes. Makes you think the rest of the general population would be the same and also make you wonder just what the clothing companies are basing their stuff off of.

I've had a weird run; as a child I was always shorter than every one of my friends. Then I had an early growth spurt and I was taller than every one of them for years and years, but now I'm shorter again :<
