Nah, Ike was widely popular besides the fact his games were pretty popular/recent.

Marth's the first FE Lord, so he's prolly sticking around no matter how far the Smash series goes--plus he's getting a remake of his game.

I've also heard Roy had a bad reputation as a character for those who played his game. Thus, many say his only fans are those who played him in Melee and really don't know who he is...

Pffft. I haven't played the Fire Emblem games, but that doesn't mean I don't know anything about them. I tend to learn a lot about games just by hanging around the geeks that never shut up about them. I'm afraid I know a lot about Kingdom Hearts even though I've never come close to playing one.

I haven't picked up as much about FE, but I tend to generally not hate characters.

Well anyway, I'm more of a fan of Katie's Roy (they're pretty much two totally different things.) and I just enjoyed playing Roy in Melee. I'm not like Zach is. But then again... He can be kinda creepy when it comes to Roy. ._.
