Dear Katie, it has become obvious to me that you lack self-belief, so , I wish to tell you that your comic IS rather well-drawn. I have seen better, yes, but I have also seen much worse. What you call "bad" drawings I find contribute to your personal drawing style which I find rather charming.
Your jokes are almost always very funny (especially to a gamer like myself) and I think that you are much more talented than you give yourself credit for.
Oh, and everyone disagreing with me: you not liking this comic isn't going to make it any less awesome for the rest of us.

Well, although I can see your point I disagree with you. As a wise man/woman once said "if a million people say a stupid thing it is still a stupid thing".

I wholeheartedly (one word or two?) agree with Droyer. Awkward Zombie is one of my favorite wecomics. As proven by xkcd, drawing ability is not the key factor in a successful webcomic. As for humor, me being a gamer, I am able to find plenty in these comics. Keep up the good fight Katie, and don't let these critics get you down!

Critics are supposed to get you down, how else would you learn anything.

If the cartoonist thinks his or her cartoon is stupid, he or she thinks it's stupid. Usually, it doesn't matter how many people like, it's his or her decision on what to do with it.

Also, I don't know any people on this forum who dislike this comic but if they are, in fact, present, they haven't made it public.

Her style IS appealing for its simplicity. It makes it stand out and it's certainly not hard to look at. Quite the opposite.

But yeah, her comics are also funnier than VGcats without having to resort to crude humor. That's a major plus.

Psh. All artists, in any art form, think their work is crap. That's just human nature. Any artists who doesn't think that is a bad person. In the caption for almost every comic, Katie has some sort of self-criticism, on that one especially bad element that she didn't fix, which most of us wouldn't have noticed anyway.

The criticism isn't to make her feel bad, it's to make her a better artist. There's definitely a difference between her current work and her older stuff. And it's continue to change. It's not like Katie has peaked, and she's going to stay here. Again, human nature.

What probably makes her feel awkward is reading our absurd praise for her comics. Seriously, why did you even make this forum?

People kept asking me for one and I crumble to peer pressure aaaaugh!
