Immediately after reading this I saw the first and last panel and though "omg it looks like shes sleeping, there must be something there". After 2 hours of trying to come up with a good sleep talking joke, it turns out there wasn't anything there. Sorry.

Stardew Valley is only repetitive if you don't spice it up. There's so much you can do, it's your own fault if every day is the same thing over and over again.

Stardew Valley is a game about connecting with people and nature instead of toiling away at a thankless job, and I have endeavored to make it resemble, as closely as possible, a thankless job.

Sometimes I'm playing a mobile game and I realize this is how I feel about it. Log on, do a daily draw, auto-battle my way through this week's event without looking at the screen, spend my stamina to get a little bit of EXP, and sell the rewards on the bazaar. Repeat every day for months. And then even after realizing that, sometimes I still don't stop playing, because even though it's not fun, it used to be, once. Ugh.

Rule of thumb: Don't play anything on mobile or console that has "daily X", for pretty much any value of X :)

Nah, I don't mind certain actions being limited to once a day. It feels satisfying to complete them. I just mind when the game sucks and there's never anything new.

Where is the joke Dobson

bodaciously everybody has observed that about Harvest Moon. That's the entire point of Harvest Moon. You need a better punchline than just "Isn't this TOTALLY how Stardew Valley works?"

That isn't the punchline at all. Try reading the Author comments instead of just the comic.
