Going With Your Gut:
SWORD GUY: "Halt, Edea blah blah blah but if you wish to continue on your path you must be stopped."
Edea vomits stomach acid. Sword guy disintegrates. Ringabel makes disturbed face.

Nobody even uses these stupid titles anyway:
Sword guy is facing entei.
SWORD GUY: " Halt, Entei blah blah blah blah but if you wish to continue on your path you must be caught."
Entei runs past him.
"ARGRARJGHH"

I probably shouldn't post these edit ideas because nobody wants me to take credit for their edits. Also because people already had these ideas in mind but posting these ideas preempts them.

You killed your former allies, did what they told you not to do, and apparently destroyed the world. Then you woke up in an entirely new world, and you restarted your efforts, with the result that you apparently destroyed that world, too. Now you're in a third world, and your fairy companion tells you to restart everything again. How long before you figure out not to trust the goddamn fairy?

In one of the repeating chapters, I gave up playing, and I just looked up the spoilers on TV Tropes. I didn't guess exactly what would happen, but I figured out a fair amount of stuff that I really wish my party had been smart enough to act on by the time I gave up. (Though I suppose that's like asking a Phoenix Wright game to let you name the culprit without jumping through a dozen legal hoops.)

That seems to be a big problem in Japanese anime and manga, isn't it? For example, the third Rebuild of Evangelion...

Shinji: Why is everyone so mad at me?
Misato: I'm not telling.
Shinji: What did I do wrong?
Asuka: I'm not telling.

Kaworu: Oh yeah, you kinda destroyed the world.
Shinji: ... WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME?!

Kaworu: Wait, you shouldn't pull out those spears!

Nobody told me about the paradox thing that happens. The world couldnt handle more than one of me at a time.

They might need more than just a few new carpets.

YES. THIS COMIC.

Not just JRPGs, but RPGs, action games, movies, TV shows... all that needless drama and tragedy that could've been avoided by someone just saying "well, it's because..." I guess step two would be if the person(s) hearing the explanation believed it, but come on. I'd rather see something dramatic happen because people actually communicated like people do instead of being a bunch of oblivious doofuses.

Also I am really bad at avoiding looking at spoiler tags.

Also also, I feel the game so far is amazing but some of the writing is just, well, horrible. Like when you get to the section after Olivia dies and Agnes and Tiz both temporarily turn into assholes the reasoning behind the change just feels extremely contrived, and is just a transparent way to move the plot forward.

ALSO WHY DO THEY HAVE TO ACT LIKE THEY DON'T EXPECT EVERY SINGLE CRYSTAL BOSS TO BE THERE I MEAN COME ON.

Also also also does chapter 4 end after beating Alternis in the light pillar, because those dragon bosses for the vampire job are hella hard and I need to know if I have to grind or not

It does end there but it's okay you can do that thing in the later chapters too.

The best way to handle these kind of communication errors, in my opinion anyway, is to make it a matter of disbelief instead of poor communication.

'Course that doesn't work so good if it's the main character not believing something he's told because then the player might actually agree with the new thing and wonder why we're not going with that.

Yeah, this game is the second-worst example of this I've ever seen in a game.

The worst being Arc Rise Fantasia.

No, I don't care how many Horrific Revelations (TM) about the True Nature of the Setting (R) you've had.
