Everyone in the Metroid universe failed at "Door Engineering 101".

I'd be lying if I said that has never happened to me (in a game or in real life), and in the many panicked acts of fleeing in Metroid games, I often find myself clumsily flipping through weapons types, and always using every one exept the one I need...you know, just checking if they're still working ... :|

You can draw Samus well...in the panels that have the detail, 6 and 11, particularly, seems odd how many details just kinda shifted in and out, And you have drawn the suit really well in the past. However, what's the point of pointing out things you have confirmed?

Panel 5 is a box of Orange Win.

And I am declaring with all powah at my disposal that "ZIF!" is the best word for running away ever.

Who gives a shit if she's off model? The composition is excellent in most panels, especially 6 stands out - the whole thing made me chuckle. Now break up the panel structure more, make it more free-form and the whole thing would look even better.

From what I've been told, the doors sometimes take a while because the game uses that time to load the next room. That's why doors to outside generally take so much longer to open.

Before I knew that, the doors in Metroid Prime annoyed the hell out of me. But now that I know why, I much prefer that door style over a boring loading screen.

I think I can safely say this has become my favourite comic for the last panel alone. Something about the massive WHUNK text and the poor, practically-mangled Samus on the floor makes me laugh uncontrollably.

I think Katie was comparing this to her own past drawings and not official art, if that means anything here. In fact I think she was referring specifically to the first panel, where Samus looks just awful.

But this is another great comic. I appreciate the dynamic camera and hey, check out panel 12 PASSAGE OF TIME AMIRITE?

I used make sort of "stage layout" drawings like panel 5 in middle and high school. This means absolutely nothing but I felt the need to report it anyway.

Katie, Queen of Onomatopeia, is back again!

And I feel better it's not just me who gets stuck in every friggin' door.

I swear, it's like there is some sort of magic dance that Samus needs to do before those doors open. The old games just opened the door as soon as it was hit.

I actually really liked the way this way put together. Plus with good humor, one of my favs for sure. This has also happened to me a Lot. Damned doors of death loadingness.

I like the elasticity(sp?) of Katie's stye (I said that because it's more obvious in this comic) and I especially like the movement in panel six.

I'm saying this because I haven't had this happen to me before and I'm trying to come up with something interesting to say.

EDIT Paige Get.
