I have no knowledge about Deus Ex aside from the glasses.
I still understood the comic perfectly fine.

He had to sneak past some guys because [redacted]. Then, after Jensen [redacted] [redacted] in the [redacted] room, his boss was going to extract him via helicopter, because walking is dumb.

If this is the part of the game that I think it is, it's particularly silly sending a chopper to pick him up because you're bodaciously a 5 minute walk away from Sariff HQ, where the chopper is usually parked. Or heck, he could have walked to his apartment building, which is bodaciously across the road, and also has a helipad on the roof.
