I never played it and it seems pretty straight forward.
There's an item that prevents you from getting/using items(?) for an amount of time(?). Furthermore, should your bag be full, items will be transferred to this fair maiden you see in the last panel. The item that prevents you from using items is with her now, thus she can't get the stored items out of her chest for you.

It keeps you from using your pouch, meaning you can't get out your shield or use potions as they're stored there.

but everything else is pretty much spot on.

Expert adventurers know to take the Cursed Medal and throw it into the mouth of the Imprisoned. Boom, ironic disarmament.
