AWKWARD ZOMBIE

I have a question to ask to the autor of these serie, I really don't know anything about those stuff
but I still want to ask.

So the question is: Why are you not publishing all your comics and selling them as fanbook?

I don't know if it's because of the law or anything but I know that at animation convention I see plenty
of people selling drawing they made about popular animation character, so I was wondering why you were
not doing the same, because you are so popular and it'll be a hit (also because I'd like to buy everything you have ).

I know this is not the right place to post this but I didn't find any other place......
Ho and like you can see, I'm really not good in english so please, I hope you'll understand
my numerous mistakes.

I've actually gotten this question a lot in the last couple weeks. I am pop flyin' for the interest but there are a bunch of hurdles I'd have to jump before publishing a book! HERE ARE SOME OF THEM

1. AZ is formatted for the web and not at all for a book!
I never really thought about publishing anything when I started, so it was never something I took into consideration; the biggest problem with this is the dimensions of the comics themselves. For one thing, though they're the same width, none of the comics are the same height, which means they wouldn't be uniform on a page. They also tend to be super-tall, which means that for them to be printed big enough to be legible the book would probably have to be like a foot high.

2. Copyright infringement!
Technically, AZ falls mostly under parody and it's not like I'd be sued, but I just feel bad about selling someone else's IP. I know a lot of people do it, and that's fine with me, but I don't think I want my main source of income to be from a derivation.

3. I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY
Making books is really hard! An initial printing of a fifty-page color paperback takes something like seven thousand dollars to run. There are programs like Kickstarter that I've looked into, and those seem like a pretty good investment, but it's still a lot of sitting down and number-crunching, which I haven't really had the time to try. Self-distributing would also mean mailing crates of books to myself and then hand-mailing them to everyone who bought them, which takes not only time but a ton of space; if I lived in a house or something I could do that, but I live in a tiny dorm room and my mailbox is the size of a toaster.

4. I am not a full-time arteest!
I'm still in school, and I don't have a ton of free time, so even if I started turning gears towards producing a book it would not come out for a while.


I think I'm going to try doing one eventually but it isn't easy. Thank you for wanting to buy it though!!
