Hello. Huge fan of your comic. But if I wasn't, would I be posting here? No, probably not. I found out about this thing when you did a fan strip for Fanboys. But you know, Fanboys kinda. . . died out. Like a few other comics I like. I'm starting to lost interest/patience in VGcats, now. But I digress. Your comic shows a world of promise. Oddly enough, your funniest ones are the ones that aren't about video games. Not to say the gaming ones aren't good. But you capture the essence of social quirks. You definitely have a style all your own. But you must understand one thing, if you enjoy this, if you want to keep your comic afloat, you really must stop with this self-deprecation thing. I notice you say many of your comics aren't funny, or you call them filler, or say something about your laziness, that's really pretty unfair. As far as the quality, you have every right to be displeased with something you feel isn't your personal best, but if you say it about everything, you're only hurting yourself. Look up there. "Usually not funny." Probably intended as a joke in itself, but there is some honesty to your lack of confidence, and it'll start showing when you start making comics half-heartedly because there's no reason putting effort into them.
Naturally, I'm not saying you should boast or brag about your comic. Modesty is a good quality. But there are two extremes to everything. If you keep on with the lack of self-esteem, you're going to chase everyone away from the site. Honestly, the only filler I see on your site is in the posts that say "THIS COMIC SUCKS BYE". Surely, you realize your comic falls into a category. You only play select games, mostly the female generics, but you make it work. Penny Arcade pretty much covers all things gaming enough for everyone. So you can play that card successfully. But as long as you stay in that category, poking fun at only the games you know, you'll avoid most all the bad reviews.
Maybe this is all just your shtick, maybe you like the comics, but you just don't know a pop flyin' medium, so you present it all as poorly-made. But for the sake of your loyal following, just showing your faith in your talents will make everyone happier. I say all of this because I see you possessing way more potential than most other comic writers. And I would honestly hate if your comic, or worse, your career ceased. You seem down-to-Earth and capable, and if one voice can encourage you, whether you need it or not, I'd like to see to it that it does. Godspeed.
