I've said this before, but I would absolutely play high-production AAA game about birdwatching. Whoever put 200 animal species in this cowboy crime game knew exactly what they were doing.

I think I'm stuck in some sort of temporal paradox because the link in the description just takes me back to the current comic page.

What's going to be really funny is when, a few months from now, someone is reading through the archives, clicks on the link, and is taken to the then-current comic.

Man, RDR2 was so disappointingly frustrating with its animal stuff. So many different species, but you get so little reward and there's no practical way to actually find them. The tracking system really needed an extra pass, because the short lifetime of trails made it only useful for tracking animals that you had already sent running, and the mechanic of finding droppings and broken twigs and stuff was only for special hunts.

I had to force myself to stop trying to find animals for the game-spanning sidequests because they were making me hate the game

Well the idea of having radar on wild animals you've never seen is pretty ridiculous. The fact that the game gives you any more info than someone in a tavern occasionally mentioning "I caught an albino jackalope for dinner in the northern canyon on my way here, wonder if there are any more" is kind of silly already. Almost as though bird-watching is an intensely boring hobby that can often involve days of waiting to see if anything shows up, and maybe shouldn't be part of an action video game.

This may be my favorite edit I've seen in at least a year.
