This very morning, my cat Crow looked at the omelette I was eating and it gained a layer of cat hair. I would not trust him with the spatula.

Cat hairs getting in the food has to be one of the worst parts of owning a cat. My grandmother used to live in a house where she'd owned multiple cats for years, and every single surface was coated in them. It was impossible to eat without the plate being covered in hairs. The worst.

This is why it's important to wear a hairnet

This is so great lol

We have 3 cats at home (five at a point), but we rarely get hair on food. Guess we're lucky.

Yeah, this is what I keep thinking. I've never had problems with this when I've had a cat. When I visited my grandma (who had like a bajillion cats and dogs) this wasn't a problem.
I think there is some other aspect at play here, like maybe the ventilation in the house, or the climate in the area, or something...

It does depend on the cat, of course. Short haired cats should be fine, but long haired cats that moult everywhere every summer...

My grandma had long hair cats too. And yeah, there was cat hair all over the place. On the couches and chairs, it gets on your clothes... But we didn't have problems with it getting in the food.
There's some other factor at play here, and I don't know what.

Man, I'm glad I didn't grow up with gods everywhere. They get really alloying in large groups, especially the Greek ones.
