There were all manner of comestibles in Bioshock, though it's really up to the player to use them or not. Most of the time it was just for show even if they did provide a meager boost to help or ADAM.
Also, kill big daddies with armor-piercing bullets.

First time contributer, ever-so-such-a-long-time lurker.

I usually enjoy the comics, even if, like this one, I've never played the game before.

EDIT: Argh, due to the Great Firewall of China I can't seem to upload images...

Yeah, I think you were playing a different Bioshock. There were drinks and cigarettes all over the place (the former raised your health but lowered your EVE, the latter did the opposite), food was everywhere, and this problem happened ALL THE TIME. Maybe they weren't in Bioshock 2; I wouldn't know. I skipped from Bioshock to Infinite (and I'm greatly enjoying Infinite).

I'm still wondering whether or not I should play Bioshock 2; are there really as many escort missions as I've heard there are? And are they as bad as everyone says?

I need to look at all of Petah's edits before posting one. He manages to post all my ideas before I can, and he does a better job of editing too.

Bioshock 2 is great, even the DLC is great. The escort missions are easy and optional. Easy in the sense that the Little Sisters don't get killed, you do.

Wait wait people don't like Bioshock 2 because of the 'escort quests'?

What!?

You don't have to lead the little sister around anywhere you just pick her up and carry her there, she sits on your shoulders so it doesn't even impede your gunshoots. Sure you have to defend her while she does her needley thing, but bioshock is a game full of methods to make traps and no real ways to use them because you're almost always moving on- this is a way to use them.

Geeze people find the dumbest reasons to dislike games. I genuinely feel like Bioshock 1 exists to justify bioshock 2- as amazing a game as it is, the story of 2 hit me so much harder, and the gameplay has been refined a lot.

Multiplayer sucks though.
