Shops that sell games but never have the ones you want.

Honestly, Videotron (Quebec movie/game rental place...sells games on the side too! D:) never has anything good. Only the most recent popular crud.

I'm almost tempted to start my own shop that devotes itself to selling/trading good ol' retro and quality junk.

So does mine, but nothing good. The best thing I saw there was Link's Awakening. |:

Which reminds me, I should go back and buy that. It'll give me something to do.

I'd be willing to see that, a store that sells Sega Genesis, N64 and Playstation games would make my life complete :'D

The local game store sells all the old shit. Their selection varies, but they usually have a fair amount of pre-fifth gen games. Sometimes a system or two. :awesome:

Fuck chain stores, the small businesses kick so much more booty.

I don't even get chain stores. Nearest good electronics store is half an hour away in Chesapeake. Even then , I had to go to the backwoods, hour away one after a week of searching to get a play station that had to be replaced anyway because it didn't work. I'd be willing to go to Canada if Gord was still about there.

i love those buy-sell-trade stores that i find around here. my favorite one carries pretty much everything from N64 up, plus NES and SNES games. and gameboy games.

I fail to see the problem... Wait, do you mean you don't already have every game? Blasphemy!
Seriously though, you could probably find most things on the net.

Not all of them, and trying to play an N64 on a keyboard is a pain in the booty. The tools are nice, but sometimes its the novelty of it all of being able to play them again on the actual console.

My friend has a pc crontroller (Looks like a playstation one), so it's not that much of a problem for him.

But I see what you mean.

Yknow what also sucks? We get our internet from that same store, Videotron, and we have a friggen download limit. If we go over 100gigs per month, we have to pay extra. that sucks because that means I can't do anything. They lack the games and movies I want to see, yet I can't download them all or else my parents would be paying a fortune.

(Not to mention we originally got the contract for unlimited downloads...stupid videotron) :shakefist:

Gametraders ear my house sells old retro shit games that no one wants. Like old Sonic games. Most recent console they sell for is PS2.

Its called a "business". Not as many people want to buy older games, sadly. So most stores can't afford to sell old games since no one gets them sve the random passerby or confused parent. Sadly, when the aged gamer comes in hopeful of Vectorman or Duke Nukem, he is left out in the dust. Its like, Science.

true, eBay has almost anything you want on it. and eBay is part of the internet. therefore, you can find most things on the net.

although if you meant emulators, then yeah you wont find everything, i should know. this is my main way to play most games.

Speaking of stores not selling what you want, why is it so difficult to get new gamecube controllers?! The Wii still uses them a lot, and mine are absolutely ghastly from playing SSBM constantly for five or so years. Hopefully I'll be playing SSBB for another five, and my current stock definitely aren't going to make it.
