Who else is sick of all of these spam-bots coming in and trashing up the forum?

We need to get e-mail verification going to try to stop this crap. No one needs to see Paris Hilton's booty....

I'm already sick of it and I just joined.

I was surprised when it didn't ask me to verify my email address, that sounds like a good idea.

And there goes another useless spam topic...Wish we could report users and posts...

I'll fix it, I've just been busy lately. I'll do it like today.

Take your time, it's not like it is a matter of great importance or urgency. ^_^;

You can enable visual confirmation (an image with random letters/numbers will show up and you must type it in correctly to register) and e-mail confirmation. We have both those enabled at our forum, but a lot of spam bots still get in... so... be prepared for some disappointment. You won't do much more than dent the SCP population, they'll continue to peddle their porn and drugs.

This makes me wanna punch babies... more often than usual.

Is it possible to remove the users that are wasting our bandwidth with their smut?

She could delete the users, but deleting each one one-at-a-time through the admin panel is a pain, and spam-bots tend to only post once and then lay dormant forever, so we shouldn't ask her or expect her to delete their accounts.

Eh, let's just ignore it for now. Thanks if you do remove it Zomnambulist, but I see how much trouble it'd take.

I'd just appreciate no more porn topics. X_x;;
