AWKWARD ZOMBIE

so, anyone watch it besides me? seriously, i'm only on episode 7 and its awesome. its gotta be my new favorite show, no contest (not counting Clannad of course). i mean, in a lot of anime, the main character gets some kind of special power, then uses it to fight evil and crap like that. not death note though. the main character, Light, get a special power, then he goes nuts with this crazy god complex about how hes gonna kill everyone he doesn't like to shape the world in his own depraved vision of justice, then he will rule as god of this new world. idk how many of you actually watch anime, but i love this show.

It sounds pretty cool. I hate to say the only anime I really watch(ed) is Full Metal Alchemist, because I actually saw it from the beginning. And that one turned into a 'good guy wants to save the world from the bad guys' type of show.

Most of the time, I turn on the TV, and the show is like 5 episodes into season 3 and I have no idea what's going on. And I'm not that willing to buy DVD sets of anything, if they exist. So yeah, I'm gonna go back over here and float around in the sea of ignorance with myself. Sad face time. =[

Hum... I found it most amusing. Though I didn't really like the ending... it was kind of cliche... >.>; Otherwise, I'd say it was pretty good. I loved the artists hand.

i find it really interesting. it really makes you think in a way not many shows do, or at least not many shows i've seen. i just finished 11, and it still keeps me interested. on the ending, my friend has seen the whole show and pretty much said the same thing, but i'm still looking forward to seeing how it ends.

The comics are good until the seventh book when something important happens to my namesake. I didn't exactly care about any characters introduced after that point (i.e. Mello, Near).

I watched the first few episodes of the show, but it's more or less just the comics moving. Yeah.

I also don't think your complaint about the ending holds any water, Ze Blaffle. I haven't watched past the tenth episode, but, from having read the source material, I have to say that the ending was something that I was surprised the series got away with so well. Most series', in order to cash in on their fans, would have just let Light continue on his merry way. But, in Death Note, Ryuk did exactly what he said he'd do, and it was awesome.

I dunno. I just liked it.

yea, awesome series, the anime follows the manga pretty much to the dot on every i and the line on every t though, so I knew everything that was gonna happen

yea, cliche'd ending, but satisfying in a way noone would've thought

Death Note is on my 'to watch' list.
I myself prefer the really badass funny anime.

Where I am we are on either Episode 7 or 8....canadian programming only got it a few weeks ago.

All my friends are obsessed with it. I was thinking of reading it, but reading up on it made it sound way too complex for me to enjoy it.

It's more complex than the average Shonen fighting bull crap kids read these days, but not Ayn Rand complex. It's a really good comic.

yeah, adultswim is up to episode 8 this saturday i believe (one of my favorite episodes btw). but god bless the internet because i'm on episode 17 right now. its certainly complex, but its not too bad. i keep liking it more and more. i can't watch it more until friday though....daisies homework.

concerning the characters, ryuk is pretty good, but i think i like L better. he just gets really ballsy further into it. i don't know how i feel about light. hes a pretty interesting character, but there are times when i'm just like, "YOU DICK!"

I'm 'acquiring' cough:downloading:cough episode one right now. Expect my two cents after I watch it.
