People will all die one day, regardless of their monumental achievements, however, he will have obtained a place in history as the man who opened doors and gateways for other minds to float through.

He and the rest of the Apollo crew are some of the greatest human beings who ever lived for crying out loud

he was a badass even in his old age. I still have articles from Popular Science (which he was a regular writer for) where he tore the current NASA administration a new one.

I'm not really sure who you're referring to. People are showing their appreciation, no one's being a dick or acting insensitive.
