I want to answer "No", but I'm neither a fan of martial arts, nor do I think any suck.

Wat do

I'll be doing Kendo again soon. Once my feet stop hurting from running around a hospital 8 hours a day.
It's not really practicable for street fighting, well maybe except if you carry a long umbrella. Yeah, you could pretty much incapacitate/kill someone in a second or so with a sturdy umbrella.

Yay : D

Anyway, I thought about taking some sort of martial arts class when I was a kid, but I never did. I don't think I would have been all that good at any kind anyway.

I did Shoto Budo (a shitty derived version of better martial arts) when I was younger. Also did a bit of a different style whose name escapes me with High School.

Not done much since then.

Always wanted to learn a martial art. Always been a huge fan of fighting.

I don't know if boxing counts either, but I intend to take some lessons sooner or later.

I never stuck with Karate or Tai-Kwon-Do long enough to get the first belt.

I generally just try to be aware of my surroundings for potential makeshift weapons - should the need arise.

I always carry an knife.
I also read snipers manuals to learn weapons by their silhouettes.

Made it to a purple belt in karate before I realized my teacher was an idiot.

Got to orange belt as a kid before I got bored of the teacher constantly reminding us about how we should always avoid fights and only use the techniques (which he never taught) in self-defense. No shit Sherlock.

If I pick up martial arts again after I'm more financially secure, it's going to be Krav Maga. If someone comes after me, I want to defend myself.

Black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do. Actively teaching small children how to beat the shit out of each other Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Sparring is pretty much the greatest stress relief in the world at black-belt level. No pads, only rules are not punching the face or attacking the back. Kicking the face is frowned upon though so just whack them on the side of the head.

Does archery count? I might also take kendo or somesuch after that. And maybe something involving polearms after that if there is one.
Goodness why do I want to learn to use so many weapons?
