One of them lifts a revolver and aims.
"This is my understanding."
A shot is fired. The scene goes dark.

I guess this is it, you think to yourself. I seem to have finally hit a snag. Even after studying the case all night, I can't find anything that might help. All that I've got is an information pamphlet about the crime scene, the assumed murder weapon, and some loose biographical data. I don't know if I can make it.
You are the legendary Phoenix Wright, and the defense attorney of Triton Fyste, the suspect in the murder of Governor Pu Nname. Mr. Fyste came to you yesterday in hopes of finding an attorney to defend him. You weren't not so sure if you'd be able to oblige, given the skimpy details, but took the case due to recent monetary trouble. Your opposition in this case is Winston Payne, but is heavily determined to trounce you after so many easy victories on your part.







So, out of narration for a moment, I'd like to try something new! I've seen so many adventure threads in my past lurking that I decided to merge the concept with something familiar. Open to criticism, constructive criticism, and justified trolling.
My idea is that this might work basically like most of the adv. threads. We'd all try to build on each other's actions as Phoenix Wright, typing basic commands like 'examine pamphlet' or 'ask about time of death'.

You realize you don't currently have the weapon, but have taken notes about it. "Revolver owned by Triton Fyste. Fired only once, rifling marks match bullet. No fingerprints."



After taking a brief moment to wonder why you're shouting at yourself, you examine your inventory. You have:
A transcription of a Burger Hotel pamphlet
Notes on the murder weapon
Short bios on all involved with the case
Your razor-sharp wit
An attorney's badge



You get down on your hands and knees, attempting to scrape up the lobby floorboards, earning you many a strange glance from your client. Oh, yeah, your client's also here.



You repress the notion when you realize how undeniably silly it would be.



You are struck by the revelation that your court record is similar to your inventory in more ways than one. You chuckle to yourself upon realization.



You are in the lobby, so the judge wouldn't be able to see your mad hustlin' skillz.

Valk around and deduce everything.

You present the badge to the potted plant, as the guard left with your client while you were doing the hustle. Unsurprisingly, there's not much of a reaction.



You try your best, but you just can't say 'Eureka!' like Edgey.

Shave using your razor-sharp vit.

You notice you're getting a bit shaggy and take off a bit on the end. You marvel at your new ability, but can think of a convicted prosecutor who needs it more.

You're called into the courtroom, for the trial is about to begin. Presiding is The Usual Judge.
"Is the prosecution ready?"
"Ready for a storm!", Payne screeched in his old-man soprano. You feel your ears begin to bleed a bit, just as they have in the past.
"Is the defense ready?"
