AWKWARD ZOMBIE

It's just about that time again, where we all pledge to change in the New Year and sometimes succeed. So here's a thread where you can declare to the entire world what you'll be changing so that if you fail you will feel the judging eyes upon you. Or something like that.

However, I did not title this as New Year Resolutions because such a thread is likely to get buried after the date and never see daylight again. Instead, I want this thread to be a place where forumers can declare their resolutions and then keep checking in throughout the year about their successes or failures. Remember, a resolution is only broken if you give up, so this is intended to help get you back on track if you do fall off your chosen path.

That said, I'll get the thread started.

Resolution

To write and submit one novel to an agent this year. That means however many drafts it takes to finalize, all editing done, cover letters out, the works.

How I'm Accomplishing It

I'll be writing 2,000 words a day, focused only on the chosen novel. No more hopping between ideas. Furthermore, I purchased the deluxe edition of the 2014 Writer's Market, which clocked in at $55, so that I have an investment into this resolution, which makes it that much harder to disregard it.

I resolve to be the coolest guy I know. It's going pretty well so far.

Last year's resolution was successful, I'll just roll it over to this year.

Next year I want to try and actually begin work on a graphic novel concept Ive been tossing around for years. Problem is that its meant to be serious, and Ive never written anything other than comedy before

To keep up a comic project and get enough done to put out a book.

I'm going to pay more attention in school, as feeble a resolution as it is.

I managed to do really well for my first year of college with the same behavior I used in high school, but if I really want to benefit from my classes I'm going to need to pay more attention.

I'm also going to try making cheddar for the first time in my life because it's time to get off my booty.

My primary resolution: Get into more tv-shows and stories.
