With a Facebook account that allows me to post status updates whenever I'd like and lets friends comment, I've never seen the point in getting a Twitter. (I may or may not also be afraid of getting too absorbed in Twitter. I hear it's addicting.)

One good thing I've heard about Twitter is if you're having problems with a company and rant about it, one of their agents will find you and try to solve your problem. (UPS does this, as well as IKEA.) I think that's neat.

A person can also be more anonymous on Twitter than on Facebook. And you are also without all the crap on Facebook.

Twitter is a site for homosexual manchildren.

You won't understand what the point of Twitter is until you register for a Twitter account.

True, but since you can easily alter your feed to display just status updates it isn't horribly difficult (unless you have a buttload of friends). I am okay without Twitter.
