Generally, I've made a promise to myself to listen to one band I've never heard of everyday. Stone Temple Pilots was today's new band.
Lost Fingers was yesterday's.
I find them through a variety of ways. Word of mouth. The radio. Rummaging through youtube. Sometimes I just walk into small record shops (they have to be small, big one's are too organised), and go to the 'loose cd' section and just buy a handful of discs.
I'm just wondering how you forum people discover your music.

Related videos on YouTube.

Things people link me to on YouTube.

Random YouTube searches that come up with something suprisingly good when I'm actually looking for something completely different.

Friends, family, covers, TV (though not as much that), and this website helps out a lot.

Plus the radio is always good if you're trying to find a single genre.

Yup

When actively looking for new music, that's where I look.

Also my uncle mailed me and mom all this cool music and we installed it a few days ago. Awesome.

O and my mom loves the Stone Temple Pilots.

Yeah, they're ok. Personally I prefer Pearl Jam, or Temple of the Dog. (basically the same band).
But it's nice to listen to different music sometimes.

Pretty much this.

I also occasionally turn on one of the music channels and listen to it while I do things. Sometimes I hear something new and good and look it up.

Also the occasional guitar hero ripoff has a song that I like and look up.

My friends usually introduce me to music.

Either by sending files randomly, or sending links to look at.

Or at school, I learn more about new music.

Usually through friends. Sometimes through other media (one of my favorite band I found after watching AMV Hell 4). Rarely through radio, even though I have been listening to it more and more lately (that drive too and from school would be pretty quiet if I didn't).

I've been very into Los Campesinos! lately. Pretty good band overall.

You! Me! Dancing!

We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed

Please Don't Tell Me To Do The Math(s)

Sweet Dreams, Sweet Cheeks

Death to Los Campesinos!

I'm mainly into classical music so things are a little different for me. Usually I get interested in a new piece by reading about it on Wikipedia or hearing others talk about it, once I've settled on the piece I start looking for a good recording of it - amazon's user review or friends usually help me with that.
