Today i decided to dust off an old game called Spyro for the PS1. I had a blast and surprisingly remembered many of the levels and hidden things i had done YEARS ago. Soon after I decided to play Crash Bandicoot and I suddenly started getting depressed. All these memories of my childhood started coming back. All the things that really defined what I was back then made me remember the fun things I did. But then I realized, its over. Earthworm Jim is a dead TV show, as is Samurai Jack, and Megas XLR, and Toonami. I remembered as being a kid staying up 'late' to watch these shows and being in awe at the awesomeness that they were. But now, its just a memory. And its all it will ever be.

I want to be a kid again.

Thats deep man.

So is this a Childhood Nostalgia topic?

I suffer from extreme nostalgia. I move around a lot, and am never really pop flyin' where I am, untill I've left. Then I get all depressed remembering all the "good times".

The one thing I miss the most was my obsession with Legos/Bionicles when I was little. I used to play with them all the time.

Nostalgia Topic indeed. I felt we could use a place to remember the 'good times'

I know and I sometimes don't know if I'm pop flyin' or sad about it. And Legos. I remember Legos. I used to have that 3 piece chinese ninja fortress and built and rebuilt it many times. I was never too creative with em though, I just followed the instructions :P

Ah the good ol' days...Playing Pokemon Blue on GBC, battling friends with Pokemon cards...

Me and my bro used to play some ol' N64 games like:

Hey You, Pikachu!
Pokemon Stadium
Mario Tennis
Mario Kart 64
Star Wars: Rouge Squadron

I don't remember playing video games that much when I was a kid, I do have GREAT memories of Starfox 64 however.

I miss Sailor Moon.

I watched that show religiously despite the fact that it was really, really stupid.

When I was a very small child in Colombia I got attracted to anime. My first anime was Dragonball and Ranma 1/2 (in spanish).

I remember Pokemon and Yugioh a lot here in the states. Yugioh cards were so big!
I also remember childhood larping... I mean prentending!

I don't appreciate mine either. The sheer... things I didn't know when I was younger is insulting to me! I barely knew anything about using the internet efficiently, or using it to answer questions instead of doing the foolish thing and asking parents!

And since I still play all the games I used to I don't really have anything to be nostalgic about. Well, except for the quiz section of Earthworm Jim 2. That was brilliant!

Umm... exactly how old are you, if 5 years ago is considered your childhood?

Dude Koeqepe, no offense, but if those are memories of your childhood, then you are still a child.

You are too young in your life to be having a midlife crisis.

I remember watching this show as a child... If you remember this show, you are awesome, and no fair cheating by looking at the image URL... Also, now I have the theme song stuck in my head :?

That show had some deep shit in it for a children's show now that I think back on it. I remember episodes on the subject of racism and religious intolerance... That's kinda unusually deep for a kid's show.

Aaaaaah, nostalgia.

Here he comes, here comes Speed Racer!
He's a demon on wheels!
He's a demon and he's gonna be chasin' after someone.

He's gainin' on you so you better look alive.
He's busy revvin' up a powerful Mach 5.

And when the odds are against him
And there's dangerous work to do
You bet your life Speed Racer
Will see it through.

Go Speed Racer, go Speed Racer, go Speed Racer, go!

He's off and flyin' as he guns the car around the track
He's jammin' down the pedal like he's never comin' back
Adventure's waitin' just ahead.

Go Speed Racer, go Speed Racer, go Speed Racer, go!
