So have you ever bought a print or anything from deviantART?

Did you buy it for yourself or as a gift for a friend?

They do calendars, puzzles and other stuff as well apparently.

I personally haven't bought anything from dA yet.

Its called human decency.

It requires this emotion called love, so you wouldn't understand it.

You also buy prints to support your favorite artist.

But I just joined 2 weeks ago, so I haven't even considered buying prints.

And the monies are not in my possession. :shakefist:

I'd like to buy stuff from dA, but I also don't have a great deal of excess finances.

I think dA would do well to work with talented artists to produce art compilation books (covering numerous and varied artists), or they could offer individual artists the ability to assemble books of their work - illustrated or written. I'd buy something along those lines.

However, I kinda get the feeling that the internet will have a negative impact on printed material eventually (everything will be accessed via electronic interfaces/laptops)...

...but then again, printed books don't demand a power supply.

since when is it "inhuman" or "indecent" to look at art for free when the artist posts it on a site that they know hosts art for free anyway?
