Okay, here's a question: do you think its better to have a single avatar that you nearly always use, to have a series of avatars that all have the same thing in common (such as Username's Fallout Guy avs), or to never have a constant avatar?

You need to change your clothes, right? So why not your avatar.

....Actually I do it different for each forum.

as long as the avatar is decently sized, I could care less.

^ This

But a consistant, or fairly consistant, one would be preferable.

I generally use clips from Katie's comics (disregarding that windchime-type avatar I had when I first joined). I change them when I feel like it.

Only three of my avatars have been consistent with each other, and I've only had about five avatars. Sometimes I get bored with my avatar and feel that I need to change it.

This is my first avatar I made myself (I drew it and all).

I'll probably start using my own drawn avatars or TF2 themed ones.

I tend to use whatever I feel like using as an avatar. hell, the one I have right now is just something I found on photobucket while searching "code monkey."

so, consistency is nice, but my avatars are more of a spur-of-the-moment thing.

The next time I change mine I'll hopefully be using some of my original artwork.

So probably not anytime soon.

It's good to have a little diversity. Say, have your avatar coincide with what you like at the time? (Like me and FMA) Who knows? You may find out a lot about someone through their avatar.
