Goddamn this fucking quilt pillow piece of shit.

I started this back in... November? Yeah. It took that fucking long.

First, I had to cut out the rectangles. Then I had to cut out a whole friggen bunch of squares. Then I cut a bunch of those squares in half, to make all those little triangles.

And yes, see all those little triangles? Both the light blue, and the dark teal? Those all had to be sewn together, to make a square. And then they had to be sewn to another square. And then those two squares had to be sewn to another two squares, to make an even bigger square, and it just kept going like that until I lost my mind.

Those fucking pinwheels. I hate those fucking pinwheels so much.

This is the back side. I'm quite fond of this side, not only because it was ridiculously easy compared to the front, but I really love that yellow fabric.

I didn't have enough fabric left of either of my colours to just make one solid back piece, so I went hunting through the scrap bin to see if we had any. We didn't, but I found that big piece of yellow and loved it, so I improvised and came up with the idea of the stripes.

After both the front and back side were machine sewn and completed, they were sewn together. I then handstuffed it, and since some of the weaker seems tore during stuffing, I did some hand sewing too.

FFFFFFFF ALL THIS JUST FOR ONE GRADE IN TEXTILES.

AND I STILL HAVE A DRESS TO MAKE TOO.

Much thanks to Username for giving me some smaller images to post.

I want that pillow. omg it's so cute.

I've made one before in home economics, but it isn't as intricate as this!
Nice job. You better get an A. >:[

If they don't give her lie, an A++ I'll so send them a strongly worded complaint, etc

Either way, I love it.

Textiles is basically home economics, but without the cooking portion. The same teacher teaches both classes though; I had her in textiles last semester (I got an I [Incomplete], which is why I'm still working on my assignments) and have had her in Foods for both semesters. She's really cool and easy-going. Unfortunately, that also meant she waited for forever to get me more stuffing for my pillow, which is why it took many more months than it should have.

And yes, it didn't help I made the most intricate design in the class. Curse my creativity, CUUURRRSSEEE IIITTTTT!

It's not as pretty in person; It's pretty lumpy and there's a few little holes in it where I couldn't get a needle in to hand sew and repair. I'm hopefully going to get an A, but the lumpy stuffing job and the holes might make me only get a B.

I made a bear that was ridiculously over-stuffed though (thus why my pillow is kind of lumpy; I didn't want to overstuff again) and still got a pretty good grade. She complained I hadn't put a bow on it though.

Edit: I'll probably post pictures of my dress when it is completed too. It is flowy and purple and silky. c:

that pillow is all kinds of win.
If you don't get an A++, you know what you have to do.
Burn the school down. There's no other way.

My mom does a lot of quilting junk and, I'd have to say, that isn't half bad.

Kudos for the skills. Threaten to beat the teacher to death with it if s/he doesn't give you an A++

And it's a cushion, so it'll be a very long death.

My teacher actually requested to take my design to give to her mother, because her mom does a lot of quilting too. So I atleast now my design is awesome. The actual quilt though, or atleast the sewing job... makes me worry 'bout the mark I'll get.

And I would beat her, but I've already bargained with her to get the absolutely raeg-inducing pinning for my dress, so I'll have to wait till after she's done that.

Then all I have to do is sew along the pins, and attach the skirt-part to the top, and ta da! Purple summer dress.
