I think it would help if the thread title had a little bit more than an emoticon - and make sure you distinguish it from the BAWWW thread.

I feel sad when I think about my mother's last few days before she finally passed on.

It's especially sad because she didn't die from the cancer - it was the chemotherapy which destroyed her lungs - the lack of oxygen in her blood eventually leading to the failure of her other organs.

Thinking about her wired up to all those life support machines in intensive care still cuts me up - and it's been nearly two and a half years now.

I don't regret staying with her as the nurse turned all the machines off and she eventually passed away. It was hard but I couldn't have sat in another room while it happened.

The feeling that every time you try to start a romantic relationship you fuck it up and all you get is heartache, and that feelings scares you from getting close to another person closely, even if you think you might really like that person.

My dad is an older guy and it makes me sad to always be thinking about his failing health and the fact that he may not be around to see my kids or watch me succeed in life
