HEALESVILLE, Australia – Entire towns have been razed by wildfires raging through southeastern Australia, burning people in their homes and cars in the deadliest blaze in the country's history. The number of dead Monday stood at 108, a grim toll that rose almost by the hour as officials reached further into the fire zone.

Searing temperatures and wind blasts created a firestorm that swept across a swath of the country's Victoria state, where at least 750 homes were destroyed and all of the victims died.

Story continued here.

Hopefully all the forum members in Australia are well and safe.

About half an hour away from where I'm at. Whole town has smelled like smoke for about a week.

You see pictures on the news...

It looks like a war took place

Some camera footage in the night showed that it's like a living hell, if you watch it, the forrests are ablaze, the sky is filled with a red blaze and thoughts of the people in the town bring the grimmest and worst ideas to mind.

Seriously, I watched the news and I practicaly shat myself, the country seems like a target for a natural disaster, massive droughts, fires, cyclones, flooding...

I'm glad not much happens in N.S.W.

There are billions of people in the world. We need to kill some people off so stop caring. The governments are gonna come into your homes to "prevent overpopulation" soon enough. Blood thirsty assholes.

1. I do, my friends and mine own, I hurt less that way.

2. I'm bi, but I've never seen a pic of you, or know you, so no.

3. I am sincerely sorry.

It's sad that people are dieing, and that the rate of discovered deaths is even more depressing.

Like, at 6 yesterday the count was at 65, then at 10 yesterday it rose to 85 and this morning it got to 107... it's probably higher now.

I created an account, just to post this

(i was thinking about it anyways, then saw this)

I have family that has died in Kinglake (one of the towns that no longer exists)

The last thing i was talking to my cousins a couple of days ago, the worst thing they said about it was the roar. The sound of it scared them the most, not the heat, not anything. The ROAR

i've said my bit.
